In 2006 I was hired as Administrative Assistant for Lean Process at Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, WA. When I took the job, I really had no idea what it would entail. The principles were easy enough to understand, but the reality of the work wasn't what I expected. I loved the challenge of envisioning, planning, preparing, implimenting, and following up on 5S and RPI events. Learning LEAN was fun, too. There is so much to it, so much to learn... the concepts appealed to my need to stay mentally busy.

I stayed at JHC for over a year. But, my husband was offered a job in North Carolina, so I resigned. Then, his job offer fell through due to the downturn in the economy. We were very disappointed. It was somewhat upseting to know I left that job for a plan that didn't work. Oh well, live on!

Now it is 2010. I have continued my study of LEAN principles and learned a lot more about the subject. So, I would like to share what I know with small businesses to help them become more effective and cost efficient. My head is chock full of ideas, so I decided I should become a 5S Consultant! Here I am! This web site is my opportunity to share what I can about LEAN and 5S in particular. It is my goal to create a resource for businesses large and small with access to information, documents, and supplies.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with requests, consulting opportunities, and resources for LEAN and 5S materials. Thanks for coming by. ~ Pam Hunter
